Help Save Our Planet By Using Green Chemistry
Green Chemistry has developed into an emphasis in the following three categories of interest:
- A product's effect on human and animal health.
A product's effect on the environment.
- The process used to make the product.
Our seals of approval cover the first two items.
Info. Tox. International, Inc. is a Toxicology and Environmental Health consulting company. It is dedicated to protect human and environment health by helping manufacturers and distributors develop and market
green products which are less toxic and more environmentally friendly.
Info. Tox. International, Inc. focuses on human and environmental health and issues its
Green seals after toxicological review of the product formulations. When Info. Tox. International, Inc. issues its
Green & Green Plus seals, it validates specific human and environmental health protection criteria established by Info. Tox. International, Inc. itself.
Info. Tox. International, Inc. based its criteria on the 12 principles of Paul &
Warner's Green Chemistry: Theory and Practice (Oxford University Press: New York, 1998). During this process the information provided by the US Environmental Protection Agency, national and international product safety regulations,
general principles of toxicology, environmental health and the available information from the industry
are also considered.
The certifications issued by Info. Tox. International, Inc. cover the products themselves and does not cover the process. If you are interested
in getting certification for the process, you may contact companies who certify under ISO (International Organization for Standardized). Presently Info. Tox. International, Inc will not certify products as holistically green and issue its seals, as this process can be extremely expensive and in most cases it is practically impossible.
